Monica had a vision for her September wedding that didn’t look anything like a fall Kansas wedding but more of a summer in Italy wedding. One important detail to this look was bougainvillea. The very specific shade of pink was what Monica wanted and also needed for that Mediterranean look. However after calling all of our trusted local growers and wholesalers we learned that Bougainvillea is a plant that is not native to our area and does not ship as a cut flower. So our search continued and we were fortunate to find one last plant at Family Tree Nursery. It wasn’t huge but it would be enough for Monica’s bouquet. We bought it and brought it back to the shop to take care of for one month before Monica and Tyler’s wedding day. In the end it really was that one defining factor that took this wedding from “Fall in Kansas” to a “Modern Mediterranean Soiree”.
